The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, August 30 reveals Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will take her anger out on Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).
Also coming up, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will blame himself. Plus, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will express concerns to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). And Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will have a friendly chat with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).
Y&R spoilers tease Claire will be carrying a gift bag through the park and Summer will ask what it’s for. “It’s actually a present for our grandparents,” she’ll tell her. Summer will wonder what it is and Claire will say she decided to change her name to Newman. The gift is a framed Newman Family Tree. “I think they’ll love it,” Summer will tell her.

Then she’ll say she heard their grandma offered her a job. And Claire will reply that Summer obviously hopes she takes it. “Actually, I hope you don’t,” Summer will reply. She’ll admit she’s been pretty awful to her. But Claire will say she did terrible things and understands why Summer didn’t trust her.
“I didn’t want you to turn down the job because you don’t deserve it,” Summer will tell her cousin. “What I meant was I don’t really want you to leave the job you have now, taking care of Harrison.” So, Claire will say she appreciates her telling her that and she didn’t accept the position.
At Crimson Lights, Nick will grab a bunch of coffees and be about to head out. But Phyllis will ask him to stay for a bit and chat. She’ll ask who he’s going to lean on, considering everything that’s going on, and he’ll joke that he leans on his headboard.
However, Nick will say everyone is going to be all right. Phyllis will tell him he can lean on her. Nick will say it’s reminding him of Cassie’s tragic history. “It’s way worse for Sharon,” he’ll add. “She’s just not getting any better.”
Speaking of Sharon, Mariah will walk into the cottage, as her mother talks to herself. Mariah will ask who she was just talking to. Of course, Sharon will say she’s been talking to herself a lot lately. “This sounded like you were angry and warning someone to leave you alone,” Mariah will reply. But Sharon will say she’s just angry at the universe.
Then she’ll see Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) and stare at him. Mariah will be worried and ask what she’s looking at. “This accident must have brought up horrible memories of Cassie,” she’ll add. Sharon will snap at her, telling Mariah that maybe if people stopped bringing it up, she’d stop thinking about it. Then she’ll apologize, saying she’s just angry at the situation.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Sharon Scowls As Heather Talks
Mariah will head out to visit Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) and Sharon will ask Cameron why he won’t leave her alone. “You don’t really want me to,” he’ll reply, adding she needs him so she doesn’t give into kindness and weakness. “You’re angry and you need me to feed that anger, so that you can do what needs to be done.”
Meanwhile, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will tell Daniel that Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) might get to go home today. “What are we supposed to do with the guilt?” he’ll ask. “We should have been more vigilant with her.” However, Heather will say once Lucy’s home, she will be punished.
“So, your conscience is completely clear?” Daniel will ask. And Heather will say yes. But Daniel will point out there’s one person who’s blaming him, Sharon. Heather will ask if Sharon said that to him. He’ll say no but he gets the sense she’s looking at him like the stupid drunk teenager he was that Cassie had to drive home.
Heather will tell him if Sharon wants to blame him there’s nothing they can do. “But Daniel please, stop blaming yourself.” She’ll say he’s going to have to make peace with the past. Then Lucy will cry out and ask where Faith is, because she isn’t in her bed. But her parents will tell her Faith’s all right. “I just feel so guilty,” Lucy will reply.
Then Sharon will show up, just as Lucy’s telling Daniel and Heather that it’s all her fault. She’ll be shook and Mariah will appear, asking if she’s okay. Sharon will say she was just so scared, when she saw Faith’s empty bed. Nick will arrive and Heather will run around the corner and say they’re all so concerned and scared right now.
Finally, Mariah will get a phone call and Nick will bring a coffee over to Daniel, leaving Sharon to glare at Heather. “I can’t imagine Sharon how difficult this must be for you,” Heather will say. “I really hope we can support the kids through their recovery and not focus on any recriminations.” And Sharon will scowl at her.
